When clients come for help with weight loss or health issues, the first exercise we do is in goal setting. Why start in the middle? Start at the beginning…with your new GOAL. Any focus on the past problem will be counterproductive . The past is the past for a reason…it’s over. Learn from it and move forward. . What are your short term and long term goals? What would it FEEL like once you achieved them? How would you act DIFFERENTLY? What would you ENJOY more? See it, feel it… Now create it. It’s like running a marathon. First you decide which race you want to compete in. Then you hire a coach to hold you accountable. Then you develop a running routine that will steadily Stretch you to push beyond your comfort zone. Finally at the end you will reach your goals and complete your race. The same holds true with your life and health. You can’t just say that you want to be healthier or happier.
